The larger the area, the lower the rate per metre. The price is agreed before we arrive and does not change on site; stain removal is included. We issue invoices with deferred payment terms if that is the procedure in your company. Travel within Warsaw is free.

How we organise cleaning in a working office

• We agree a time window - most often after working hours, on Friday evening or on Saturday, so the carpeting dries over the weekend and the office is ready on Monday.
• We divide the area into zones - on large floor areas we clean in sections, so part of the office stays passable.
• We move light furniture - chairs, bins and free-standing cabinets we shift ourselves. Heavy shelving and desks stay put and we clean the carpeting around them.
• We work as quietly as possible - if conversations or online meetings are going on in the next room, we plan the order so the noise of the machine does not disturb them.
• We report back - after the service we show the result and say which spots will need cleaning again sooner than the rest of the area.

Stages of the service

We start by vacuuming the whole area thoroughly - taking sand, crumbs and dust out of the pile. Without this stage water turns loose dirt into mud and the cleaning result is worse. Then we treat stains spot by spot: coffee, tea, grease, marker and shoe-sole marks, choosing the right product for each. Only then do we carry out the actual extraction cleaning - the solution enters the pile under pressure and the machine immediately draws it back out with the dissolved dirt.

In the walkways, at the entrance and under the desks we repeat the passes, because that is where the dirt sits deepest. At the end we rinse the surface so no layer of detergent is left to attract dust, and make several passes with extraction only. As a result the carpeting is damp rather than wet.

How long office carpeting takes to dry

Normally 4 to 8 hours with good ventilation. In rooms without windows and with the air conditioning switched off at night the time can extend to 10-12 hours, which is why we recommend cleaning such premises on a Friday evening. Drying is helped by mechanical ventilation being on, open windows, and blowers (extra service PLN 80) that we set along the corridor.

After cleaning it is worth keeping swivel chairs off the carpeting and not placing heavy furniture on it for a few hours - a damp pile dents more easily. If the office has to work in the morning, we plan section cleaning in advance and agree a walking route for the staff.

Why regular cleaning is worth it

Carpeting cleaned once a year keeps its colour and springiness much longer than carpeting that is only vacuumed. The reason is mechanical: grains of sand at the base of the pile act like sandpaper with every step and cut the fibres. First come matt stripes in the walkways, then permanent wear that no cleaning can remove. Replacing 200 m² of carpeting costs many times more than several years of regular cleaning.

There is also a health and image argument. Carpeting collects allergens and dust that rise with every movement of a chair, and clients judge an office above all by sight and smell. A fresh smell and an even floor colour are part of the first impression, just like clean windows or a tidy reception desk.

• Walkways, reception, entrance - every 3 to 6 months, because that is where most street sand ends up.
• Open space and office rooms - every 6 to 12 months.

Types of office carpeting and how they are cleaned

Offices are dominated by needle-punched and loop-pile carpeting made of synthetic fibres - it resists wear and takes extraction cleaning well. Velour carpeting, more common in management offices and representative rooms, needs gentler work and brushing of the pile afterwards so no machine tracks remain visible. Carpet tiles are cleaned the same way as roll carpeting, with extra control of moisture at the edges so water does not get underneath.

A separate case is carpeting in server rooms and technical spaces, where keeping moisture to a minimum matters, and antistatic carpeting, on which we do not use products that change the properties of the surface. Cleaning after renovation and after a move

Construction dust is finer than ordinary dust and settles very deep in the pile - which is why vacuuming alone is usually not enough after a renovation, and the carpeting looks grey again after a few days. In such cases we clean the surface with more passes and change the water more often than usual. We do the same after a move, when the floor is left with marks from trolley wheels and from positioning furniture.

If the renovation is just finishing, it is worth booking the cleaning after the last materials are taken out but before the furniture is brought in - access to the whole area is then unobstructed, the service takes less time and costs less than working around desks.
