The minimum order is PLN 150. If you have a single armchair to clean, it is worth adding the dining chairs or a mattress - in one visit it works out much cheaper. Travel within Warsaw is free.

How we clean furniture upholstery

• Fabric test - in a hidden spot we check how the material reacts to water and to the product. This tells us whether the fabric releases dye and which chemistry to use.
• Protection - we cover the floor around the furniture with film and towels and place pads under the legs so they leave no marks on a damp surface.
• Vacuuming - we take crumbs, sand and pet hair out of the folds and gaps. This stage decides whether the cleaning produces mud or clean foam.
• Spot treatment - we apply a product matched to the origin of each stain and leave it to work.
• Extraction - the solution goes deep into the foam under pressure and comes straight back into the machine with the dirt. We repeat the passes until the water drawn out is clean.
• Rinsing and extraction - we remove the remains of the detergent so the fabric is not stiff after drying and does not attract dust.
• Drying - we leave the furniture damp, not wet. On request we finish with a blower (PLN 80, about 30 minutes).

Types of fabric and what follows from them

Upholstery is not cleaned with a single product. Velour and plush need a gentle agent and brushing of the pile after cleaning so it does not look ruffled. Microfibre and easy-clean fabrics take extraction cleaning very well and return to their original structure once dry. Fabrics with viscose are the most demanding - they react to water and, if cleaned carelessly, leave rings, so we work on them with less moisture and faster extraction. Linen and cotton prefer a lower temperature and gentler pH.

If the label on your furniture shows the symbol S (solvent cleaning only), tell us when you book - we do not clean such fabrics with water and we say so honestly instead of risking damage. Natural leather and eco-leather also need a different service than extraction cleaning.

How long a sofa takes to dry and how to speed it up

Furniture upholstery normally dries in 4 to 8 hours. The time depends on the thickness of the foam, the temperature and the ventilation of the room. A sofa cleaned at 9:00 in the morning is usually ready to use in the afternoon. To shorten that, open a window for airflow and, in winter, turn the heating up. Do not cover the furniture with a blanket or bedding before it is completely dry - the moisture needs somewhere to evaporate.

If you need the furniture sooner, order blower drying. Thirty minutes of airflow usually halves the drying time, which matters for sofa beds that are slept on every night.

How often to clean furniture

In an average flat, once a year is enough. More often - every 6 to 8 months - is worth it when someone in the house has allergies, there is a small dog or cat, a baby, or someone smokes. A living-room sofa where films are watched with snacks gets dirty faster than a set of armchairs in a rarely used room. The warning signs are darker worn patches where people sit, a smell you notice when you lie down, and dust rising when you pat a cushion.

Regular cleaning really does extend the life of furniture. Sand and dust particles act like sandpaper - they wear the fibres from the inside, so the fabric loses colour and softness. Removing that deposit once a year costs a fraction of the price of a new sofa.

Sofas and corner sofas with a bed function

Furniture that is slept on every night gets dirty differently from a living-room sofa. Over the years body moisture passes into the foam of the seat, and the folding mechanism collects dust that is hard to reach with a vacuum cleaner. That is why we treat the sleeping section as a separate part of the service - we unfold the furniture, clean the surface someone sleeps on and clean the back cushions separately. The extra charge for the sleeping section is PLN 31.50, a fraction of the price of the whole job, and the difference in sleeping hygiene is noticeable from the first night.

If the furniture has a bedding container, it is worth emptying it before we arrive - we look inside, vacuum the bottom and check for moisture that gives a musty smell to the whole room. This is a common case in flats where bedding is put away while still warm from the night.

How to prepare your home for our visit

• Make space around the furniture - about a metre on each accessible side is enough to work freely without moving cabinets in a hurry.
• Take off the small things - blankets, decorative cushions, the remote control and toys. Leave the back cushions if they are to be cleaned.
• Provide access to power and hot water - the machine takes water and electricity from the flat, we bring everything else.
• Plan the time - a sofa takes 40-60 minutes, a corner sofa 60-90 minutes, plus drying time. Booking in the morning is the most convenient.
• Tell us about pets - a cat or dog may be stressed by the noise of the machine; it is better to move them to another room.

The most common questions

• Do the covers have to be taken off? No. We clean the upholstery directly on the furniture. If the covers come off and you want to machine wash them, tell us - we will adjust the scope of the service.
• Will a dog urine stain disappear? Most often yes. We use an enzymatic product that breaks down the protein soiling rather than just washing it away, plus an odour neutraliser. When the foam is soaked deep through, we say honestly what result to expect.
• Will the fabric shrink after cleaning? No. Extraction does not soak the furniture and the moisture is drawn out as we go. That is exactly why we do not use methods based purely on pouring water.
• How long does cleaning a corner sofa take? Usually 60-90 minutes, a sofa 40-60 minutes, a set of four chairs about 40 minutes.
• Can you come the same day? Very often yes, especially within Warsaw. Just call in the morning.
