The minimum order is PLN 150, so with a single armchair or two chairs it is worth adding a second item to the job - it works out cheaper than two separate visits. Travel within Warsaw is free; outside the city we quote it individually. You pay after the work is done: cash, card or bank transfer, and we issue an invoice on request.

What upholstery cleaning looks like step by step

• Conversation and quote - we ask what is to be cleaned, how big the piece is and whether there are any special stains. We give you an exact amount before we set off.
• Protecting the work area - we cover the floor and the surroundings with film and towels, and work in clean indoor shoes.
• Vacuuming - we remove sand, crumbs, pet hair and dust from the fabric, because loose dirt that gets wet is only rubbed deeper in.
• Stain treatment - we apply products chosen for the type of stain: enzymatic ones for blood, urine and sweat, grease-dissolving ones for cosmetics and food.
• Extraction cleaning - the solution is pushed into the structure of the fabric under pressure and the extraction machine immediately draws the dirt out together with the water.
• Odour neutralisation - where needed we use a product that breaks down the odour molecules instead of masking them with perfume.
• Drying - we extract as much moisture as possible and, on request, finish drying with a blower (extra service PLN 80, about 30 minutes).

What we clean with - equipment and products

We work with professional extraction machines: Prochem Steempro 2000 for large areas and office carpeting, Santoemma Grace with two motors and water heating for furniture and carpets, and the compact Santoemma SW 30 and SW 15 Car Wash where a large machine cannot reach - armchairs, chairs and car interiors. High water lift means the furniture is damp rather than wet after cleaning and dries in a few hours instead of a full day.

We use certified professional chemistry. Enz-All breaks down protein soiling - blood, urine, sweat and food residue. Kill Odor Plus neutralises pet and musty odours. For delicate fabrics we choose products with a lower pH. All the products are safe for children, allergy sufferers and pets, and once dry they leave no sticky film that would attract dust.

When it is worth cleaning upholstery

The standard recommendation is to clean a sofa once every 12 months and a mattress every 6 to 12 months. In practice life sets the schedule: an allergy in the family, a small dog or cat, a baby, smoking indoors or renovation work can halve that period. The signs that it is time to call are simple - the fabric has changed shade where people sit, you can smell something when you lie down on the sofa, a morning runny nose and sneezing stop once you leave the house, and there are marks from the mattress on light bed linen.

Regular cleaning is not only about looks. Mattresses and upholstery collect house dust mites, whose droppings are one of the most common inhaled allergens in Polish homes. Extraction rinses them out together with the dust from deep inside the filling, which surface vacuuming cannot do.

Extraction cleaning versus steam cleaning - the difference

These two methods are often confused, yet they work completely differently. A steam cleaner delivers hot steam that softens the dirt but has no way of taking it away - the soiling stays in the fabric and after drying it often returns to the surface as grey rings. Extraction cleaning means forcing a cleaning solution into the structure of the fabric and immediately sucking it back out together with the dissolved dirt. So what leaves the furniture is not only steam but physically removed deposits - the dirty water in the tank shows exactly what was sitting in the sofa.

That is why we use only the extraction method on furniture upholstery, mattresses and carpeting. Steam has its sensible place in disinfecting hard surfaces, not in rinsing dust out of foam. If someone offers you nothing but a steam refresh for a sofa used for five years, it is worth asking how exactly the dirt is supposed to leave the fabric.

What to do with a stain before we arrive

• Work dry - blot freshly spilled liquid with paper towel, pressing rather than rubbing. Rubbing pushes the stain deeper and lightens the fibre.
• Do not pour water on it - water spreads the stain over a larger area, and on fabrics with viscose it leaves rings that are harder to remove than the stain itself.
• Leave home remedies alone - vinegar, baking soda and washing-up liquid can permanently change the shade of some dyes. If you have already used them, simply tell us.
• Remember what it was - wine, coffee, blood and grease each need a different product. That one piece of information really increases the chance of removing the mark completely.
• Do not use a hairdryer - high temperature sets protein soiling such as blood and milk, and then even enzymes cope less well.

The most common questions about upholstery cleaning

• How long does a sofa take to dry? Usually 4 to 8 hours. A mattress takes longer - 10 to 15 hours, so it is best cleaned in the morning. We shorten drying with a blower.
• Will you remove an old stain? Most stains come out completely. With dried wine, paint, ink or scorch marks we tell you honestly before we start what result you can expect - we do not promise miracles.
• Are the products safe for a child and a dog? Yes. We use certified professional chemistry and after rinsing no irritating substances stay in the fabric. Once dry, the furniture is ready for normal use.
• Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive? Just take small items and decorative cushions off the furniture and make sure there is access to power and hot water. We do the rest.
• How long does the service take? A sofa or corner sofa usually takes 40 to 90 minutes, a mattress about an hour, a set of chairs depends on the number. For larger jobs we give an estimated time with the quote.
• Do you work in companies? Yes. Office carpeting, conference chairs, swivel chairs and waiting-room sofas can also be cleaned outside office hours, so your business is not disturbed.
